Test driving VIMEO

We love posting pictures and videos, but I have been unable to find a quicker way to download them using the blog software. Therefore, I use Flickr. Unfortunately, Flickr only allows 90 seconds of video. As you know from my previous attempt to share Matteo’s birthday video, we had some technical difficulties since the video [...]

Adoption Connection group gathering

A few times yearly, we get together with a group of friends that we met in our adoption workshop class at Adoption Connection. On Sunday, we met four other families at one family’s home. We ate, caught up on what was happening in each family’s life – one family may be relocating to Tennessee, another [...]

Website advice needed

With our family now complete, we no longer have any need for our adoption website as it was originally intended. Late Thursday evening, I spent a couple of hours revising the look and content. Yet, I am not happy with the concept. I would like the website to be a photo and video journal of [...]

Some new pictures

Since leaving the hospital, we have been patiently waiting for our baby announcements to arrive in the mail. During our stay, a photographer stopped by the room not only to take Matteo’s picture, but that of us as well. A family portrait? In the hospital? Wow… Granted the pictures are not the best, but they [...]

A feverish update

Christopher had a much better day today, even though he developed a fever just before bedtime. The antibiotics should be in full force tomorrow. I hope I don’t jinx our luck, but the last two nights have been somewhat restful. Matteo is sleeping more during the night. Woohoo!

The potty diaries – March 17, 2009

With all the excitement of Matteo’s entry into the World, we have been remiss in updating you on our potty training. Despite the craziness that ensued, we remained consistent with going potty at least once daily. Every now and then, we even got some potty – one and two.

105.4

No, it’s not a local radio station. Christopher woke up this morning to a fever of 105.4! Mike quickly filled the syringe with 5cc’s of Tylenol. After giving Christopher the Tylenol, I jumped into the shower with him, and had Mike call the pediatrician’s office to alert them that we were taking him to the [...]

Dear Sara,

Where do we begin? In one week, you changed our lives forever. You have displayed such amazing strength during this journey with us. We will never be able to ease the grief you must feel, but please take solace in knowing that Matteo will always know that you loved him and made an incredible sacrifice [...]

Introducing Matteo

Okay…I reloaded the video from Flickr so you won’t get to see the full 4:43 minutes. Sorry…

Tired, tired daddy

Matteo’s homecoming was met with a family, friends, and a little exhaustion. Christopher had no intention of being upstaged; he woke from his afternoon nap with a fever of 102 degrees. Oh, what fun. Saturday, we spent the day getting used to our new routine, comforting one sick toddler and one sleep-all-day-but-awake-at-night newborn. We met [...]
